Stallion Breeding Contract
THIS contract for the season of 2004 made and entered into by and between BLUE HILLS LIPPITT MORGANS, hereinafter designated as stallion owner, and (Name)_____________________________, Address:_________________________________________________________________________, hereinafter designated as mare owner.
THIS CONTRACT COVERS:
THE stallion, WILLO POND KNIGHT REBEL, registry AMHA #126028, AMR#00131, AWR #0756792/97, AWS #980406whose service fee is $1200.00 per mare. An additional non-refundable booking fee is required and it is due with the signing of this contract (this is not included in the price of your breeding fee) your booking fee is 20% of your total stud fee payable upon signing of this contract and a $100.00 non-refundable handling fee. $800.00 of which is payable before the mare leaves the stable as well as the stable’s mare care fee.

THE MARE OWNER AGREES THAT:
Upon arrival the mare will be provided and all copies of paperwork will be provided for
BLUE HILLS LIPPITT MORGAN'S files.
(a) Halter Broken
(b) Have ALL shoes removed
(c) In sound breeding condition
(d) Have a negative coggins test from the current year
(e) Must have the following shots, 4-in-1 (Encephalo-myelitis, Influenza, Rhinopneumonitis, & Tetanus),
5 way lepto, Potomac Horse Fever (PHF), Current years Rabies, Current year’s Coggins and
Current WNV.
(f) Mare culture done 30 days or less before bringing mare, results must be in & copy of papers
must accompany mare
(g) Any and all unusual behaviors must be revealed such as kicking, bitting, etc...
MARE OWNER FURTHER AGREES THAT:
STALLION owner may, at his/her discretion, have his/her veterinarian treat mare for breeding condition, diseases or injuries, parasites, if needed, with the expenses of such services charged to the mare owner or mare owner's account and paid before the mare leaves the stables.
THE stallion owner will not be responsible for accidents, disease, or death to the mare or to her foal (should she be accompanied by a foal).
IF mare owner chooses to breed by artificial insemination or frozen, mare owner agrees to pay all costs incurred, i.e.., shipping of container for semen, veterinary costs, etc...(currently the cost is $650 not including shipping of container for cooled A.I., non-refundable and payable before collection begins. You must have an experience vet.)
MARE owner will pay the following board on his mare at the time the mare leaves the stables.
Feed and facilities $__10.50__per day (mare only)
Feed and facilities $_12.50_per day (mare and foal)
THE mare owner will pay the balance of the stallion fee $300.00 upon the birth of a live foal (s), meaning a foal that will stand and nurse within 24 hours. Following payment mare owner will recieve the breeder's certificate at the time mare was bred. A 24 hour vet check is needed and copies of vet papers must be sent to BLUE HILLS LIPPITT MORGANS for files in regards to the health of the foal.
NO substitution of the mare is allowed unless prior arrangements have been made.
SHOULD mare owner fail to deliver the above mare to BLUE HILLS LIPPITT MORGANS on ________, stallion owner shall be under no further obligation with respect to any matter herein set forth, no refunds.
THE STALLION OWNER AGREES THAT:
THIS contract is not valid unless it is completed in full and is not transferable. SHOULD the above stallion die or become unfit for service, or should the above named mare die or become unfit
to breed, it is the option of stallion owner to offer a breeding from another stallion standing at the farm and/or the stallion owners option to offer to mare owner an option to breed a substitute mare in this circumstance only. Other wise this contract shall become null and void. No refunds will exchange hands, this was a donated breeding to the International Morab Breeders Association for a stallion auction.
SHOULD the mare prove barren, or if the foal dies at birth, the stallion owner has the option to (a) re-breed the mare with said stallion (up to one other time) or (b) re-breed with another stallion standing at BLUE HILLS LIPPITT MORGANS, if one stands (up to one other time) . There stipulation to this is that if the mare is a sibling full or half the Live Foal Guarantee is voided.
SPECIAL TERMS TO ALL DONATED BREEDINGS:
ANY foal resulting from a donated/auctioned breeding must complete to following:
1. Must register the foal with
A. The American Morgan Horse Registry if a full Morgan or
B. The International Morab Breeders Registry if a Morab or MHA.
C. The foal with the Archival Morgan Record if a half Morgan.
2. Must register the foal with:
A. The American Warmblood Registry (AWR)
B. Do all necessary Inspections
C. Copy of all resulting paperwork must be sent to Blue Hills.
If you can not meet these special terms of this contract, DO NOT BID ON THIS STALLION.
